What do men really look for??

My life has came to the point that after something happens I think, I should blog that! I have three stored up in my head, so I thought that tonight I would go ahead and get one of them off my brain.

I would guess that mostly women read this blog (hey guys do too, and if you do feel free to jump in on a topic at any time). As women we think that there are certain things that men look at on us, about us. Just a couple things that we concentrate, spend time and money on- but it could actually be something that the guy you’re eyeballing hasn’t even noticed. Chances are most men are going to notice that you went to the most exclusive spa in town for a manicure, or sometimes that you spent an hour in the bathroom contouring your nose with makeup to make it look less wide.

So, I scoured the Internet and started talking to my male friends. I was on a mission to crack the code, WHAT DO WOMEN REALLY NOTICE FIRST ABOUT WOMEN?

(Information for the blog post is mainly thanks to http://www.youtango.com and http://www.match.com)

44% of men surveyed said that hair is the first thing they notice about a woman, more than her clothes (26%), legs (25%), or makeup (4%), and most men surveyed would be more likely to approach a woman at a bar with great hair than a woman wearing a low-cut shirt.

Even more surprising, 33.1% of guys said they find brown hair the most attractive, while 28.6% said they liked black. Meanwhile, 29.5% of guys said they’re (still) really attracted to blondes, and only 8.8% voted for redheads. So HAHA to all you blondes out there that still believe that gentlemen prefer blondes.

82% of men indicated that sexy hair is a key element to a woman’s overall sex appeal. 60% of men surveyed say they would rather date a woman with great hair than a woman with big breasts. 78% of men surveyed consider healthy hair to be a turn-on.

But wait…I thought we were taught that we can have it all! Love and a career. Great hair and great boobs! Now we have to choose?!?

NO!!! It’s totally true!!!!

60% of men surveyed would rather date a woman with great hair than noticeable curves — and 74% of them said they notice a woman because of her hair. In fact, a full 44% of male respondents said that hair was the first thing they notice about a woman… even before her clothes (26%), legs (25%) and makeup (4%).

Guys find pink or red lips more alluring than the sexiest pair of stilettos. I mean, SERIOUSLY! According to the study, fuller pouts were the overall preference, though the appeal of thin-lipped women increased by 40% when lipstick was applied.**Should you invest in a pair of high heels, or that new Chanel red lipstick? If you’re forced to choose just one of these items, research shows that rouged lips are a better bet.** In a recent Match.com survey of over 24,000 men and women, 88% of respondents said their date’s laugh made a bigger impression on a first date; only 12% picked her shoes.

Bad hygiene is a universal turn-off, regardless of what you’re wearing. While Mark Twain famously said that “clothes make the man” (or woman, as the case may be), all the designer duds in the world won’t impress your date if you haven’t had a shower first. In fact, a recent Match.com poll asked nearly 35,000 men and women to name their biggest turn-off on a date. The responses included bad breath (11%), dirty fingernails (1%), body odor (16%) or all of the above (72%). Not surprisingly, bad hygiene is a mood killer for romance.

In terms of dating economics, it doesn’t matter if you’re dressed in Prada, Armani or something from Old Navy. Just make sure to wear whatever fits well and makes you feel confident.
